About meFollowing a maths degree at the University of Bristol I completed a PhD in complexity sciences, focusing on mathematical epidemiology. I worked as a postdoc at Imperial College London, where among other research projects I was part of a team working with the World Health Organisation responding to the 2014 North African Ebola outbreak. I now work at the University of Bristol as part of the Integrative Epidemiology Unit, looking at statistical methods for addressing, bias, variation and accuracy with relation to population studies and clinical trials. More information and my publications can be found on my Research page.
I particularly enjoy talking about research with the public and have lots of experience designing and running workshops for school children, giving public lectures and creating and running activities for festivals, all based on my research. Further details are given on my Outreach page. |
